Rainbow Lake is situated on Newbridge Road, Burstwick, just past Hedon on the Withernsea road in East Yorkshire.

John and Linda have owned this well stocked lake and have a re-stocking plan to make this one of the best carp lakes in the area. When we purchased the lake in 2003 we inherited plenty of small fish for the maggot angler and a reasonable head of carp consisting of mirrors, commons, ghosties and a few grass carp. Since then we have introduced approx 8,000 roach to help reduce the abundance of natural food in the lake.

We only re-stock with the finest quality British Carp. For this we selected Mark Simmons Fisher Pond strain, originally bred by John Paton, also Andy Parker, who is known for his stunning mirror carp which are a combination of old English strains. Both Marks and Andys strains of mirror and common carp are well known for their weight gain and settle well into Rainbow.
The re-stocking of carp are as follows:
Dec 2004
47 Mark Simmons at 3lb to 6lb as 3 summer carp.
February 2006
we stocked 5 times 22lb to 26lb fish of Mark Simmons strain these were supplied as 7 summer carp.
November 2006
we stocked 25 times 12lb to 14lb of the Mark Simmons strain at 5 summer carp.
March 2008
saw us bringing in a new strain supplied by Andy Parker, he supplied us with 37 of his very scaillie mirrors at 3lb to 4lb which were 3 summers.
February 2010
we added 10 times 19lb to 22lb fish delivered by Mark Simmons at 6 summer carp.
November 2011
another delivery from Andy Parker bought us 15 times 15lb to 18lb at 5 summer carp.

There is parking available at most swims for ease of access. With 21 swims to choose from, it is a pleasure to walk around and pick the one you would most like to fish. Car access is to most swims, and BLUE BADGE friendly.
