<description>Having fished the lake for the first time with my friend (Brokeback Bert) we both struggled.
It was late february and still chilly at night but fish were showing on the surface (very nice 1&#039;s too) when we arrived mid-morning.
We had a walk round and chatted to a few anglers, some who fish it regularly and all rate it very highly,it is a stunning lake with lots of lake bed and marginal features.
We were greeted by John (nice bloke) who told us pretty much everything he knew about his pond and gave us a few tips,he also came to see how we were doing later on which you dont get at most places.
We will be returning soon, espacially now with the weather getting better by the day and hopefully plucking a few of them nice carp which were teasing us on the top back in february.
