Week ending 29th July 2008

Week ending 29th July 2008

First of all we would like to aplogise for the lack of catch reports, but we have been having a lot of trouble with the internet connection, so it will look great, but the report does run from June 1st. Here goes.

Peg 1 19lb 12oz, 15lb, 14lb 9oz, 11lb 8oz, 14lb8oz, 14lber, 10lb 7oz, 12lber, 14lber, 12lb 8oz, 12lb 12oz, 10lber, 17lb 4oz, 13lber, 12lb 6oz, 11lb 5oz, 12lber, 3lb 2oz, 12lb 6oz
Peg 2 9lb 14oz, 11lb 4oz
Peg 4 14lb 3oz, 13lb 8oz, 13lber, 17lber, 11lber, 18lb 8oz
Peg 7 16lb 8oz, 16lb 10oz
Peg 9 11lb 10oz
Peg 10 14lb 10oz
Peg 12 13lb 6oz, 9lb 4oz, 17lb 4oz
Peg 14 18lber
Peg 15 15lber
Peg 17 11lb 2oz
Peg 18 10lber, 14lb 4oz, 9lb4oz
peg 19 12lber, 13lber, 8lb oz 20lb 2oz caught by Tony, 12lb 4oz, 7lb 8oz, 14lber, 10lb 10oz, 13lb 4oz, 11lb 6oz, 11lber, 14lb 8oz, 11lber
Peg 21 7lb 6oz, 12lb 8oz, 17lb 12oz
Peg 22 14lb 2oz, 17lber, 14lb 7oz, 8lber, 15lber
Peg 23 12lber, 12lb 4oz
Peg 25 15lber, 17lb 5oz, 7lb 3oz, 11lber, 12lb 14oz
Peg 31 8lber, 14lb 2oz, 11lb 14oz, 10lb 8oz

Various stockies between 5lb and 7lb have come from various pegs, but not mentioned in this catch report. As you can see the 20lbers are not getting caught, not like they were before the flooding last year, even though we did not loose any fish that size, and they were coming out like no tomorrow. They are still there to be seen, but hey are giving the angler a difficult time.
It appears that the smaller fish are moving in on the bait before the larger fish, may be worth presenting your hook baits slightly away from your baited area, as a tactic to try and land the better quality fish.
