15th Feb to 14th March 2011 Newsletter
During the period of this newsletter, fishing has been better than antisipated with 18 fish being caught, with 3 of them being over 20lb making it not a bad start to the season. As you can see by the catch report they are being caught from various pegs around the lake. White pop ups and popped up corn doing well. Supprisingly a good quantity of the fish have been coming out in daylight hours, and in very good condition regardless of the harsh winter.
Just a note to remind you that we do not take bookings we work on a first come first served basis, but you can still give me a call to confirm peg availability, or to order bait, or just to see whats going on.
As most of you are aware that have fished Rainbow before, we stock our own freezer bait of a pineapple flavour. This year we are introducing a 2nd freezer bait of a plankton base mix knocked up for us by Dave Moore to be know as Spectrum. This will be available at the same size and price. For our full price list see the prices tab.

Newsletter 15th Jan to 15th Feb 2011
Having reopened on the 17th Jan following one of the coldest spells for many years. It was on the cards that fishing would be difficult, but over the last 4 weeks, 5 carp have been caught, 2 of them being 20lb plus, which is better than expected and lets hope we can beat last years 52 x 20lb plus fish.
New for 2011 as you are aware there is a ‘biggest fish of the year’ compatition with the winner getting a free years 24 hour pass. We have decided to go one better and add ‘fish of the month’ with a prize of a 2 x 24 hour free pass. With all new 20lb plus winners getting a free hoody, we think that it should make for an exciting year ahead.
Also new for 2011 are 10 litre camo bait buckets with inner tray for £6.50 each or including 5 kilo of mixed low oil pellets at £14 or 5 kilo mixed high oil pellets at £15.
Also new, we have now completed the car park behind peg 6 access is via the left hand wooden gate. If you wish to fish the far end of the lake, access to the car park behind peg 18 is via the right hand wooden gate. Both tracks to the car parks are of a firm hard driving. Drive careful and not on the grass, this will help with wet weather access.
We have had DAVE MOORE visit Rainbow lake, who most of you will know is a well respected carp angler, writer and bait specialist. He is developing a new freezer bait specially for Rainbow Lake that will be available from mid March at the competative price of £4.00 per half kilo and will be known as Spectrum.
