Fishery Information

Rainbow Lake is 6 acre mature picturesque gravel pit situated in Burstwick East Yorkshire, (dug out in the 1800’s for use in the construction of the Withernsea railway line (now disused).

We operate as a specialist carp fishery. This water is more suited to experienced anglers as it can be challenging at times.

The lake gets its name from the fact that it was once stocked with rainbow trout. It is now has a stock of carp from original and later stockings from Mark Simmonds, Andy Parker and recently from VS Fisheries, ranging in size from 9lbs up to 30lbs.

The 16 fishable swims are all accessible, with a short barrow walk from one of the three car parks, at which there are toilet and hand wash facilities.

Don’t forget that we do sell special Rainbow Lake frozen boillies, we also sell pellets, a variety of leads, gas and batteries, see here for more info.
